Antwerp Chat is built on the principle of respectful, authentic human connection. These community guidelines outline what we expect from every user to maintain a positive environment. By using Antwerp Chat, you agree to follow these rules.
Our Core Principles
We strive for a community where everyone feels safe and respected. Our core values are:
- Respect: Treat others with kindness, even if you disagree.
- Safety: Prioritize your own and others' well-being.
- Authenticity: Be yourself – no fake profiles or deception.
- Inclusivity: Welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.
What's Allowed
On Antwerp Chat, you can:
- Engage in friendly conversation with strangers.
- Share your interests, hobbies, and experiences.
- Practice languages or discuss cultural topics.
- Use video or text chat modes.
- Disconnect at any time using the "Next" button.

What's Prohibited
The following behaviors are strictly forbidden and may result in a permanent ban:
- Harassment & Bullying: No personal attacks, insults, threats, or targeted harassment based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Sexual Content: No nudity, sexual acts, pornographic material, or sexually suggestive behavior. This includes flashing, sexual gestures, or obscene language.
- Violence & Hate: No promotion of violence, terrorism, or hate groups. No glorification of self-harm or encouragement of harmful behavior.
- Privacy Violations: Do not record, screenshot, or share another user's image or conversation without their clear consent. Do not share personal information about others (doxxing).
- Spam & Advertising: No promoting commercial products, services, websites, or social media handles. No repeated messages or automated bots.
- Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone else, including celebrities, Antwerp Chat staff, or other users.
- Illegal Activities: Any discussion or facilitation of illegal acts is prohibited.
- Underage Use: Users must be at least eighteen years old. If you suspect someone is underage, report them.
Enforcement
We use a combination of automated systems and human moderators to enforce these guidelines. When a user is reported, our team reviews the evidence and may take actions such as:
- Warning the user (for minor first-time offenses)
- Temporary suspension (for repeated or serious violations)
- Permanent ban (for severe or repeated breaches)
Appeals can be made through our contact page, but we reserve the right to uphold bans if we determine the violation warranted the action.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for your own conduct on the platform. If you encounter someone breaking these guidelines, use the "Report" feature immediately. Do not engage with them further – simply disconnect and report. We also encourage you to protect your own privacy by not sharing personal details.
Staying Safe While Chatting
Even with our moderation, your safety ultimately depends on your choices. Here are additional precautions:
- Use a nickname that doesn't reveal your real name.
- Avoid showing identifiable locations (e.g., your home, workplace).
- Trust your gut – if a conversation feels uncomfortable, leave.
- Never send money or engage in financial transactions.
- Be cautious about moving to external platforms; scammers often try to lure users offsite.
